Goodwill Columbus NeighborRelief

Welcome to the Goodwill Columbus NeighborRelief website!

While most people associate Goodwill with selling gently-used goods at our retail stores, it is the programs and services funded by this social enterprise that help us transform the lives of individuals with disabilities and other barriers through pathways to independence and the power of work.

Goodwill’s diverse, mission-driven programs are designed to help individuals learn, grow and advance and include employment and career training opportunities, day services and residential services for adults with disabilities, and commercial operations including retail and contract services. Providing over 1 million hours of service to more than 2,000 individuals in central Ohio, Goodwill ensures individuals with disabilities and other barriers are embraced as valued and dignified members of our community.

Mission programs and services offered by Goodwill Columbus:

  • Workforce Development provides job training programs for individuals with any barrier to employment. Services include a Career Boot Camp covering soft skills for employment, resume writing and interviewing skills, and three pathways to employment: Information Technology, Healthcare and Hospitality & Lodging.
  • Supported Living provides 24-hour support to adults with developmental disabilities living independently. Our Direct Support Professionals are trained to address many vital needs, including medication administration, CPR, first aid, behavior support and crisis intervention.
  • Adult Day Services serves individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18 and over including seniors in retirement, those building social skills, as well as individuals seeking employment in the community. Goodwill provides these individuals the opportunity to explore new learning experiences, take educational classes, and give back to the community through volunteering.
  • Goodwill Art Studio and Gallery offers anyone with a disability or other barrier the chance to work with professional artists, to make and sell art, and generate earned income.
  • Work and Community Services helps individuals with a dual diagnosis of a developmental disability and mental health issue learn work and social skills through community-integrated work and activity opportunities, vocational habilitation, and group and socialization programs.
